Notification
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of Government of India has introduced an ‘eCARe’ Clearance Portal, an online platform for assisting the Indian nationals overseas or those requiring the services from overseas for expediting transportation of human remains post death from foreign country to India; getting timely electronic clearances within 48 hours of the receipt of application ensuring the status of the application online, and to enable all stakeholders involved in the process (applicant, Embassy of India transporting agencies and airlines in both the countries) to use the electronic process for speedy delivery of the mortal remains.

3. Login at https://ecare/mohfw.gov.in for using the eCARe Portal.

Note - Applicant is required to apply for (i) No Objection Certificate and (ii) cancellation of Passport of the dead at the Embassy, which is one of the important criteria for obtaining clearance. Applicants are advised to apply and get these documents from the Embassy before applying onlin on the eCARe portal.
