* All Indian nationals living in Slovenia are advised to strictly follow the instructions of Govt. of Republic of Slovenia in light of the outbreak of corona virus. The contact number for all foreign citizens in Slovenia who have concerns over their health is the emergency first aid service number 112. A call center has also been set up with the toll-free call centre at 080 14 04 to provide information and assistance to the public.

* In view of the fake news circulating during such time, Indian citizens are advised to rely on trusted sources.

(a) Government of Slovenia’s website containing COVID-19 information https://www.gov.si/en/topics/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/

(b) EU level site:

https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/health/coronavirus-response_en

(c) Government of India’s advisories and COVID-19 related information are regularly being shared on facebook page of the Embassy of India, Ljubljana.

* Foreign students are allowed to continue to stay and there is no instruction from Govt. of Slovenia for foreign students to leave the country. Hence, Indian students/research scholars are advised not to panic.

* In case validity of visa/residence permit or any other similar document of Indian citizens in Slovenia has expired, they are advised to electronically inform the Slovenian authorities and seek their guidance in this regard. There is no need to panic in such cases, as there is assurance from the Slovenian Govt. that such instances will not attract any penal action till such cases are resolved.
